Paris, France - 30 mai 2013: IBM annonce que Zetark, nouveau fournisseur de services managés (MSP) sur le marché français, a déployé et gère son infrastructure de cloud public à l’aide des solutions IBM PureFlex Systems et IBM SmartCloud Entry.

Sur un marché IT dominé par de grands fournisseurs de services managés et de cloud, Zetark adopte les solutions IBM PureFlex et IBM SmartCloud Entry et se différencie en proposant à ses clients des services cloud de très haute qualité, dédiés à des activités stratégiques.

Start-up fondée fin 2012 dans l’agglomération dunkerquoise, Zetark s’est donné pour mission de mettre le cloud au service de n’importe quelle structure ou entreprise. En cela, elle propose des services d’hébergement aux entreprises à la fois locales, nationales et internationales.

En tant que nouvelle entreprise, Zetark souhaitait installer rapidement une infrastructure flexible et sécurisée pour un coût initial abordable, de manière à pouvoir se développer rapidement en France et à travers le monde.

La solution IBM SmartCloud Entry a permis à Zetark de réduire les délais de mise en oeuvre de sa solution cloud de deux mois à seulement deux semaines. Au-delà de la mise en oeuvre, la solution IBM Pureflex contribue à optimiser la consommation énergétique et apporte une flexibilité d’utilisation inégalée en donnant aux clients la possibilité de déployer des serveurs virtuels en seulement 30 secondes, ce qui constitue un réel avantage business.

Aujourd’hui, IBM annonce aussi qu’il va étendre le support des standards ouverts au marché du cloud, avec la toute dernière version d’IBM SmartCloud Entry. En travaillant avec des groupes industriels qui utilisent des standards ouverts - y compris la communauté OpenStack - IBM aide à accélérer l’innovation et à limiter les coûts, en fournissant une technologie de base commune pour chacune de ses offres SmartCloud.

IBM PureFlex and SmartCloud Entry Allow Zetark to Help Customers Deploy Clouds Quickly

New SmartCloud portfolio reinforces IBM’s commitment to open standards

ARMONK, N.Y., 30 May, 2013: IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that French Managed Services Provider (MSP) Zetark will deploy their enterprise cloud storage services on PureFlex running IBM SmartCloud Entry. IBM PureFlex provides Zetark with a fully integrated set of server, storage, network and management resources allowing them to provision new environments for customers rapidly and at low incremental cost.

Established in 2012, as subsidiary of Groupe BECI, Zetark is a specialist provider of cloud-based storage and infrastructure-as-a-service solutions. As a start-up business, Zetark needed to quickly create a low-cost, scalable IT infrastructure in order to succeed. Energy efficiency was also an important consideration, both for environmental and cost reasons as the company wanted to bring its innovative cloud solution to market rapidly, without excessively high initial costs and with the ability to grow in the near future.

As a result of the new solution, Zetark has been able cut the typical customer deployment time from two months to just two weeks. Additionally, PureFlex delivers extremely low power consumption - just 750 watts for 1 PB of data storage - and allows customers to deploy virtual servers in just 30 seconds.

“SmartCloud Entry enables us to respond to customer needs, and gives us the ability to do granular billing based on their precise usage of memory, disk and processing resources.
